Exposing false prophets, the wrong way to promote the truth.

In this modern age it has become the norm to point out whom is false and justify the truthfulness in our character.   Sadly this applies to the Christian world, as well as the physical world.

I’m tired of seeing Christians belittling Christians, an army of soldiers who shoot their fellow soldier without hesitating.  Before I get started, I would like to say I’ve been down that road before, I’ve judged the hell (ya, I said hell) out of people puffed up on knowledge before and called it “righteous judgement”.  I’ve done all my share of debating online to prove I know more than others before, I’ve looked down on those who didn’t have an understanding of some of the revelations I understood before; I’ve dogged the big leaders for deceiving so many without understanding how deception works before.  This is not new to me, I know where people exposing false teachers are coming from.

If you are exposing these folks you are doing so because you sit under a preacher who you believe delivers sound doctrine and his teaching aligns with your revelations.  Now what would you do if someone said your pastor is a false teacher.  You may disregard it the first time, but if you hear it enough it’ll get you upset or believe that those saying that are stupid (yes, stupid don’t act like you never treated someone who you believe has less understanding than you as someone who’s stupid or an idiot).

You’ll find it hard to accept the accusations as truth, due to the following:

1) You will get defensive, because you know for a fact you won’t sit under a false teacher, you won’t tolerate that.

2) You will get offended at the fact someone is calling your pastor’s teaching false when “God placed him as your leader” and his teaching has help you transform to a better person”.  No way.

3) What he preaches is always in the bible and when you read those verses it aligns with what he teaches.  How can he be wrong.

Often we will defend our spiritual leaders all the way to the grave once we trust them and on accord with their belief.  That is why people rep denominations, live off their favorite preachers’s books, watch all sermons, and so forth.

Well now, let’s see how deception works.  What if your preacher was indeed a Joel Olsteen,  Joyce Meyer,  TD Jakes and so forth.  As their sheep would you react the same way you defend John Piper, Mark Discroll and the other leaders the majority of you glean to for sound doctrine? I say yes.  The problem is not that these people are choosing to be blind and you saying their leaders are false will open their eyes.  Deception wouldn’t be deception if people knew they were being deceived.  The seed has been planted in many and just throwing words at them or supposedly making them aware isn’t going un-plant,  that seed that’s already growing to be a tree that provides fruits of the things those preachers preach.

Only a spiritual encounter will cause them to open their eyes and their belief system to be reprogrammed.  It’s like arguing with an atheist (if not worst) they see their point and you see your point, trying to get each other to see each other’s point just won’t happen like that.  Arguing until you’re blue in the face won’t change a thing.  Once that atheist has a spiritual encounter he or she will convert to the light.  An experience will accomplish more than countless debates anytime.

Why do I strongly disagree with this exposing stuff?

1.) 1 Timothy 4:1 says “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils“, notice the writer calls those doctrines, doctrines of devils or demons depending on the version you’re reading.  Ephesians 6:12 says “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”  If you’re not familiar with this verse this is speaking about classification of devils, different types of demons. How are those verses related?  Well, the doctrine these people are preaching are teachings of devils and also we aren’t supposed to fight flesh and blood, but evil spirits.  Now why in heck are we dogging these folks when devils are influencing them and we ought to be wrestling against demons.  How can we do that?  Well pray to the one and only God, turn it over to Christ.  This is spiritual, yet we are doing so little spiritually.  We are handling it in the natural when it’s spiritual. Many say “I’m praying for them” because it sounds good and it’s the right thing to say not because they are doing it.

2.) 1 Corinthians 13:2 says “And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity (love) I am nothing“. Many are exposing these teachers out of pride.  They are pointing out false beliefs to confirm to people that they know the bible. They are proud theologians, who knows it all.  They do it to get a hand clap from believers who believe the same as them etc.  They are puffed up on knowledge.  Their excuse is that they’re exposing false doctrines like Paul, yet they don’t walk in love like Paul their love for their fellow Christian resembles more of Saul than Paul.

In conclusion, it’s hard for me to see the difference between Christians exposing major false teachers and sinners exposing the illuminati.  People wrongly pointing out others wrong-doings, to feel right.  There is such thing as righteous judgement, there is a time to speak up against these things especially when a baby in the faith is being fed this, catch it before the seed is planted.  It’ s being poorly done, it’s ineffective, this form of correction is starting to be as bad as the doctrine these people preach (I’m exaggerating).

These teachers aren’t aware that they are deceived just like the lost, only thing we can do is preach the truth and plant a seed.  Preaching how bad a sinner is living won’t help the sinner get out of it, it will make the sinner get defensive, because to the sinner the way he or she lives is normal and perfectly fine until they receive conviction and convert.  Treat this the same way.  Love your brothers and sisters that are in such position by praying for them consistently, only God can open their eyes to the false things these people preach.  Stop using social media to establish a voice by bashing others.  I’ve grown to say less and pray more, it works miracles, try that instead.
