Misunderstandings about MEN

We listen, we listen more than women believe – A lot of us simply don’t like detailed things, we want things direct, straight to the point. Ever seen a man get frustrated because they can not put together a product they bought that needs gathering? Ever seen a woman with the same product patiently putting it together? maybe? If your answer is no, well i have. The difference is the instructions. The woman will patiently read the instructions while many modern men won’t. We feel like we have an idea of how to do it and we are gonna do it right without anyone’s help and when we mess up, we get frustrated and possibly go to the instructions. That’s a man for you not all, but many including me. The same concept applies to listening. Women are talkers and are detailed and we like things straight to the point, overtime this becomes a bad mix. We listen, but we listen sometimes to give you a response (because we believe we know what you’re going to say or the point you’re making) in those cases we’re listening, but not focused, we fish for keywords to get your point. We skim through. And really to be honest we do have selective hearing. A husband will hear the part where his wife say “do you want to have sex?” in the middle of her nagging and him ignoring.
