What If You Could Love Me?

What if you could love me?

Would you love me past my scars, past my hurt, past my past?

Love me past the pain that has haunted me for years.

The pain that showed me more commitment than I have experienced with anyone else.

What if you could love me?

Would it matter that my hair is not curly nor is it kinky, it just is.

That I am not your dark chocolate neither am I your vanilla, I’m just me.

I am not an extrovert nor an introvert, so you’ll have no idea what to do with me most of the time.

What if you could love me?

Would you get past my logical mind and understand that I hate being confused because it upsets me when I am.

That I can’t get myself to eat donuts because I don’t understand the texture.

That at times I ask questions not requiring an answer.

Would you love me anyway if you knew that getting through me would be a battle that you will most likely lose.

Would you try anyway?

Would-could you, love someone like me?

Someone who has the potential of making you smile and turn that smile into tears.

Someone who has the potential of making you angry but you would love me anyway because that is what you were built to do.

Love me-but would you love someone like me?

Someone who requires patience, with walls that intimidate China’s.

I don’t always know the right things to say.

I don’t always know how to act.

Could you love someone who would have a hard time loving you back?

Would you love me anyway if it takes me just a little while longer to say I love you too?

Could you love me anyway if I was afraid to touch you because I don’t want to be attached that way?

Would you love me anyway?

Someone who doesn’t fit into the categories this world has provided.

These boxes everyone is squeezed into-I refuse!

The statistics that make a trail behind me.

Would you love me anyway?

What if you could love someone like me?

I am a 26 year-old educator on the run of becoming all that I can in the time that I have. A few years ago, I embarked on a journey filled with spiritual discoveries, healthy habits, and a passion for education stronger than I've ever had. Learning what to do to become a better person have always interest me. One of my passions is to know a little about everything in order to gain the capability of forming my own opinion so others won't have to do it for me. Another passion that was buried deep inside finally came to the surface and allowed me to see the adventurous side of me. I am on a journey to see the world and do things outside of my comfort zone. I will write all about it along the way!
