3 Affirmations For Job Seekers
Life happens. I don’t know your story and you don’t know mine, but isn’t it amazing how things can go from going pretty well to barely going at all. If you have never experienced depression you may get a bitter taste of it after days upon days of applying for jobs with zero call backs and no interviews. Suddenly you begin to cringe at the sound of people complaining about their current jobs, but you know that really it’s just the new level of humbleness you have gained from going without one for so long. Now that we have established some common ground, I want you to know a few things in hopes that this will be a little light shining in the midst of the dark tunnel you’re in.
1.) Being unemployed does not decrease your potential: After being told no or not given a chance, it can become easy to question your own worth and potential. As if life isn’t hard enough sometimes, now you have added weight on your shoulders to provide for your family and ensure a better way of living. No matter what led to this place you are in, you want a way OUT. This can be tremendously stressful, but don’t put yourself down. If you are a person of faith, then I am sure you have spent a great deal of time and shed many tears asking God for help. This is a time where you need to ask him to help you see yourself as he sees you. Your friends may not see it. Your family may not see it, it feels like the jobs don’t see it, and right now you may not even see it, but God definitely sees everything you have to offer. While he is working things out the enemy is working hard to attack your mind and rob you of the things you need to remain optimistic and faith filled. DO NOT let him win. You are better than the situation you are currently in, and although these days may be tough, remember that troubles don’t last always. Believe it or not, during this time you may feel weak, but you’re really gaining so much strength everyday that you hold on and trust God. You have a purpose on this Earth, and although your journey may seem treacherous, it is one that will be worth it once you step into where you are destined to be.

Thank you for this! I’m currently unemployed and I’m looking for a job. It seems like no other one wants to give me a chance. I’m so desperate, but I’m trying not to lose my faith. I have to trust God.
